Our curriculum begins with teaching students the fundamental techniques and concepts of Jiu Jitsu, laying the foundation for more advanced techniques. Training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is an excellent workout and can be used for self-defense or in competition. Our classes are beginner friendly and open to anyone regardless of age or athletic ability.
Ground Theory Jiu Jitsu is an affiliate academy of the Subconscious Jiu Jitsu Association run by Nicholas Gregoriades and Brent Burniston. The association is focused on connection and bringing people together through Jiu Jitsu, and it is committed to using the power of jiu jitsu to help everyone on the team become the best person they can be both on and off the mats.
We are located in Lawrence Kansas and offer multiple Jiu Jitsu class options 7 days a week! If you are interested in learning a martial art we teach both adult and kids classes.
